Employee Testimonials:
“Pomeroy, my home away from home”
I started working at Pomeroy in 2013. Day one, I immediately felt and noticed the difference from my previous employments. I felt welcomed and I belong. I didn’t experience discrimination, considering I was new, and I came from another country.
I experienced support given the chance to learn and improve my skills through the years.
At Pomeroy I have supportive supervisors and managers who developed, trained, and educated me to be the better RN I am today. I have built friendships and lasting relationships along the way.
Leadership celebrates our success and works alongside us during challenging and trying times, like the pandemic, we don’t feel alone in tough times.
Pomeroy Rochester Skilled is like family, my second home away from home. My supervisors are always appreciative of the things we do for the residents, this inspires me to go above and beyond in every opportunity, every day.

“I am grateful for the prospect of continued growth.”
I have served as a nurse at Pomeroy Living for over a decade. Pomeroy Living is where I began my career as a novice nurse, and since then, I have felt like an integral part of the organization. The staff has always been welcoming and accommodating, and I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge during my tenure at Pomeroy. The organization has invested in my professional development by
providing opportunities to advance my nursing career. I started as a floor nurse and progressed to being a nurse supervisor. Currently, I hold the position of Assistant Director of Nursing. With my new
leadership role, I am thankful for the guidance and support from my colleagues, which made the transition easy, and I am
grateful for the prospect of continued growth. I am proud to be a member of the Pomeroy Living family and appreciate the organization's role in my career advancement.

I firmly believe that quality care is the cornerstone of our organization, and I'm deeply committed to upholding this principle in everything I do.

“I love my residents; they will teach you more than any professor you know.”
In 2021 my career at Pomeroy started as “student nurse tech, “COVID 19 swabber”. The staff made me feel welcome and taught me so much during the times of uncertainty - the pandemic.
Coming on board as a nursing student, I was nervous. The nursing staff and nursing leadership mentored me, they took me under their wings and answered a lot of my whys and how questions. I learned new skills every day that ignited my confidence.
Pomeroy to me is a place where skills, relationships and confidence are developed, it’s a safe place.
I looked forward to coming to work, I know I have the support – I love the company’s culture, developing the young, not eating the young. Everyone is working together towards the common goal which is great resident care.
Now I am a fully pledged RN and continuing to be a part of the organization where there are vast opportunities for career growth, the organization has molded me into the RN I am today.
I love my residents, they will teach you more than any professor you know, I look forward to seeing them, every day.
